Well, the point of this entry is to tell you about "Snowpacalypse". This is a catastrophe in the making- a state of emergency...according to the news anchors. All day yesterday and today the meteorologists have been tracking this massive storm system rolling through the St. Louis Metro area. According to the 5:00 news, the Bethalto area is supposed to get some ice and possibly 6-12 inches of snow. Well, so far, we have the ice, but there is no sign of snow as we speak. You know, 'they' can never really be sure about weather, due to the fact that the Midwest is affected by a plethora of weather fronts. We usually get fronts coming down from Canada, from the West, and from the South. If we ever find ourselves being affected by a front from the East, WATCH OUT! This would mean something bad is about to happen!
Okay, so I got a little off topic...it happens. The main point here is that since we are going to be "snowed-in" my best friend Kayla came over to stay the night. We started off our evening at 10:30 pm (she had to work at good ole' Shop-N-Save, so that is why the festivities began so late). Regardless, we decided to have a "bake-in" party. We made two little Totinos Pizzas, Reese's Peanut Butter Cup brownies, and two small Golden Vanilla cakes. You will see the final outcome of the cakes pictured below. I hope they taste as good as they look(haha).
I hope you enjoyed the bit of randomness reporting on Day 1: of "Snowpacalypse".
